Health Sector Expert for The Trade Council in Munich

The Trade Council at the Royal Danish Consulate General in Munich is part of the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Trade Council's task is to promote economic relations between Denmark and Germany. As a Health Sector Expert advisor (f/m/d), you will become part of our team, which consists of colleagues from the Danish representations in Berlin, Munich, Brussels and The Hague. The team management is based in Berlin.

Based in Munich, you will advise Danish companies in the Life Science sector (pharmaceuticals, medtech and healthtech) in the German-speaking market. We particularly want to promote digital health and we need you to join our team.

 

You can look forward to exciting tasks including:

  • Strategic business development and market analyses
  • Market access consulting and the identification of suitable partners for Danish companies. 
  • Conception and practical implementation of health policy events are also part of your tasks.
  • Attending trade fairs and organising delegation visits from and to Denmark.

 

Your profile: 

  • Completion of a university degree, e.g. within business administration, economics, humanities or similar, with at least a bachelor's degree
  • 5-8 years of professional experience in the healthcare sector
  • Experience in sales and/or strategic corporate development or similar functions
  • Good understanding of the German healthcare system and, ideally, a strong network within this.
  • An independent, structured and committed work attitude and ability to work in a team.
  •  
  • Interest in Denmark and Scandinavia
  • An innovative and commercial mind-set
  • German and English spoken and written at a business fluent level. 

Being a good communicator and networker is particularly important to us.

Conditions:

You will be employed on a two-year contract, with the possibility of extension. Your salary will be based on qualifications and experience. The job requires some travel activity, especially within Germany and to Denmark. The employment requires a security clearance from the Danish authorities.

 

Expected start of work:

1 September 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter.
